Unsupported EXE error

Our anti-cheat engine has to be sure you are using a valid Age of Empires version.
If you receive an "Unsupported EXE error", it is probably due to another language game or a game version thats outdated or perhaps a virus may have modified your game. To make sure there are no cheats each player that has received this error should download the updated EXE files along with the correct Official Patches according to the games they play:

Instructions:
1) Download and install the latest Microsoft game patch to your computer (Link to Official Microsoft Page, see below)
2) Download and run the IGZ supported EXE installer of your specified game to your computer.
3) After it's downloaded, simply run the installer and follow the steps.
4) Thats it, you're done!

Age of Empires II: The Conquerors
(Scroll Down after clicking link) 1.0C Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Patch
EXE file that needs to be installed after Patch: AOC_FIX.exe
Age of Empires II: Age of Kings
(Scroll Down after clicking link) 2.0a Age of Kings Patch
EXE file that needs to be installed after Patch: AOK_FIX.exe
Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome
(Pick correct language) 1.0a Rise of Rome Patch
EXE file that needs to be installed after Patch: ROR_FIX.EXE
Age of Empires
(Pick correct language) 1.0c Age of Empires Patch
EXE file that needs to be installed after Patch: AOE_FIX.EXE

Alternatively you can do it manually without an installer, this method is slightly more difficult than the one above.

Instructions:
1) Download the latest Microsoft game Patch to your computer (Link to Official Microsoft Page, see below)
2) Install the latest Official Microsoft Patch (See below) for your game.
3) Download the IGZ supported EXE file of your specified game to your computer.
4) Right click and copy the EXE file from where you downloaded to your appropriately installed Age of Empires folder (For AoC players something similar to: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\age2_x1
5) And then right click paste the file, and make sure you click Yes to replace the file.

I Tried so hard

Reg Problem

to fix this try to put the 1.0c age2_x1.exe in 2 locations

Dude, fix the issue, it just shuts down, as soon as you try to launch, and does nothing. The cd doesn't even spin.

I have followed the directions given for the patch and also the anti cheat downloads and I am still unable to launch a game from IGZ. Most times the game will act like its launching and then IGZ will shut down and I will be back on my desktop. The actual AOE game has yet to even start from a launch out of IGZ. PLease help!

There's nothing wrong with the gold edition

I used to have the same problem too having installed the patch and the exec file automatically. What I did was:
- I uninstalled the game and installed again;
- I registered the game online at the msn zone;
- then i installed the patch in english;
- finally I copy pasted the IGZ supported EXE file to the folder of the aoe game and replaced the Empires file.

That's about what I did and then I tried hosting for test and it worked!!! Good luck! Hope It helped!
